Through My Eyes: a photography installation by Briana Cox
Newburgh, NY – The Healing Arts Studio is pleased to present their newest art exhibition by Briana Cox, entitled Through My Eyes: a photography installation. The exhibition will be on display in the studio at 75 Broadway, upper floor, in Newburgh, NY through December 7, 2012. There will be an artist reception held on Friday, November 16 from 6-9pm and the public is invited to attend.
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Briana was inspired by art at an early age by an important influence of her grandmother Carolyn. She helped to nurture the creative spark in her by introducing her to all forms of art, and over the years photography has become her foremost passion. Briana graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2002. She has been practicing photography for over 15 years. She is currently the Communications and Marketing Associate for Safe Harbors of the Hudson in Newburgh. For Briana, a great photograph illuminates a beautiful moment frozen in time. “Photography does not end at the push of a shutter, taking the time to find the perfect shot – the best lighting, angle, and subject is all part of the creative process,” Briana states. This collection is a first sample of inspiring subject matter, composition and color. For her first art exhibit she is dedicating it to the memory of her grandmother Carolyn Currier (1933-2012).
